475 URSULINE YEARS
Madeline Welch, O.S.U.
Follow the journey from Brescia, Italy, with Angela Merici at the founding of the Company of St. Ursula, to the grand convent schools throughout Europe, to the missionary Ursulines who ventured to every part of the world, opening up new frontiers, building up the church, and responding to conditions of new worlds.
URSULINES IN MINISTRY
Jeannie Humphries, O.S.U. and Maureen Mc Carthy, O.S.U.
Take a trip in a time machine to see the places where Ursulines have ministered over the years. See how they have crossed borders to find and serve peoples on other continents. Observe the ways Ursulines express Angela’s vision in their works and share God’s love with everyone they are in contact with.
REACHING OUT: THE SERVIAM TRADITION AND URSULINE ASSOCIATES
Alice Marie Giordano, O.S.U.
Wherever Angela’s spirit of contemplation in action takes root, it reaches out in service, inviting others to catch that spirit. Serviam, I will serve, is a hallmark of Ursuline endeavors, inviting those who are served to themselves become those who serve others. A contemporary member of the Ursuline family tree, the Ursuline Associates are laywomen who intentionally incorporate the spirit of Angela into their lives and actions.
FACES OF ANGELA
Patricia Schifini, O.S.U.
Without a photograph of Angela and her Company of St. Ursula, we recognize, in those who follow Jesus in the contemporary form of her Company, her image in the features of their faces.
