Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Today we celebrate the Feast day of St. Patrick. Some fun traditions include wearing green and eating corn beef and cabbage. Some of us celebrate by saying St. Patrick’s “Breastplate” prayer or by attending mass for this 4th century missionary who was able to bring Christianity to a great many people in Ireland. There are many stories we can read about his life and his character on the internet. His humility, his teaching abilities and his love for God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are a common thread in those stories. Using the tiniest symbol, a clover, he taught about the Holy Trinity and as a result brought more people to Christ, our Savior. So while we are wearing green, eating corn beef, or celebrating in the way of our own fun annual tradition, think also of St. Patrick’s teachings and how the Grace of God touches us this day and every day.
