The life of a woman who enters religious life is celebrated at intervals. Just as a married couple would celebrate an anniversary, sisters in religious life celebrate their “jubilee” at 25 and 50, 60, 70, 75 years of consecrated membership in their community. Religious take vows and their jubilee is an occasion for celebrating God’s faithfulness in helping them live these vows.

Each year these special “Jubilarians” are usually celebrated with a special mass and ceremony and reception. This year due to the pandemic, we have been unable to celebrate these lovely woman who have dedicated their lives to God and the mission of the Ursuline Sisters except in quiet prayer. Nevertheless we are grateful for the service and the gifts that each of these women have shared with us and the communities in which they’ve served.
