“Jetta’s Story” by Sr. Martha Counihan, OSU Now Available

Congratulations to Martha Counihan whose book Jetta’s Story has been published. Jetta Hendel Gordon was a Jewish Yugoslav teenager who fled to Rome after the Nazi takeover of Yugoslavia. In September 1943 Jetta, along with several other Jewish refugees, was hidden at our Generalate. Martha has done extensive research in the Archives at the Generalate in preparation for her book.  Jetta’s Story promises to be an engaging book.

Sr. Anne Curry, OSU (Mary Luke) died peacefully at Andrus on Hudson, Hastings on Hudson on April 14, 2017. Born in the Bronx on April 10, 1924, the daughter of Anne and John Curry, Sister Anne was educated in the Bronx, the College of New Rochelle and Fordham University.
